Malawi Implements the Aid Management Platform
In July, members of the aid effectiveness team worked with the Malawi government to conduct the pilot phase for AMP. The Debt and Aid Department of the Ministry of Finance will use the system to track the country's portfolio of donor financing. During the pilot, the team installed AMP on the government server and trained 13 desk officers as certified advanced users. These officials then entered a data set of more than 450 activities. Representatives of the Tanzanian Ministry of Finance also participated in the pilot, providing an avenue for regional knowledge sharing. Tanzania has been using AMP since early 2008.>Read about AMP
