Third High-Level Forum Focuses on Paris Declaration Evaluation Findings

The Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness of 2005, promised to revolutionize management of aid to make it more focused on achieving development results. Around 100 ministers, head of agencies, and senior officials adhered to the agreement, and committed to continue their efforts towards harmonization, alignment, and aid management against a set of measurable and monitorable actions and indicators.

DACnews Focuses on Upcoming Aid Effectiveness Forum
The July issue of the Development Assistance Committee News of the OECD highlights the major issues that will be discussed during the third high level forum on aid effectiveness in Accra, September 2-4. In a featured article, Jan Cedergren, chair of the DAC working party on aid effectiveness, shares his view on the Paris Declaration. OECD assisted the Development Gateway in the development of the Aid Management Platform, a program designed to help developing countries to better manage international assistance.
