Founder of Genocide Intervention Network Highlights Efforts to
Prevent Genocide

Mark Hanis, founder and executive director of Genocide Intervention Network, points to the production of political will on the part of governments to prevent genocide as the focus of the network’s activities. In an interview with Development Gateway, he points to the lack of a response rather than early warning of genocide as a key issue. The mission of the network is to empower citizens and communities with the tools to prevent and stop genocide.
